Lexington, Kentucky is the second-largest city in the state, with a population of nearly 320,000 residents. Also called the “Horse Capital of the World,” Lexington is thought to be the Bluegrass Region of the state. Lexington is also a major Thoroughbred breeding and racing center, including the Red Mile and Keeneland tracks.
